This year as well, OPTATEC will provide international expert visitors with a broad spectrum of innovations and trade fair firsts. The world premiere exhibited at the booth of Norwegian manufacturers VISITECH AS (hall 3, booth H 49) will undoubtedly be one the highlights in 2010. For the first time ever, VISITECH will present its LUXBEAM® Light Engine model 4710 LUNA, a new compact light engine for industrial DLP micro-display applications. Numerous other exhibitors are already announcing their innovations and new developments prior to the trade fair as well. The broad spectrum of the eleven-page new products list is illustrated below with a few select examples: ALPAO (booth I 33) will exhibit its high-speed DM37 – new deformable mirror which improves image quality for vision science, microscopy and astronomy. With its ION-Finish product, asphericon GmbH (C 22) assures ion-based processing of optical components on demanding curved surfaces for the first time ever. CILAS (C 42) will present optical coatings for large components of up to 2 x 2 metres for aerospace, astronomy, defence and solar applications. LightGuideOPTICS Germany GmbH (G 31) has announced the use of fused fibre bundles as a substitute for liquid light guides. Rotem Industries’ crystals division (B 532) has produced a 130 mm diameter hyper-hemispherical 240° sapphire dome – a component which has never before been produced. A vacuum coating system with fully automated loading and discharge will be presented at the booth of Provac AG (H 09). Veeco Instruments GmbH (A 35) will present its ContourGT™, a brand new generation of contactless optical profilers for inline QA, as well as for R&D in the areas of machined, polished and structured surfaces.
