H0 Gauge in Friedrichshafen: Consolidated Nickel Mines Co. Layout

This installation shows the loading station, the railway line and the offloading station of a fictitious nickel mine in the American Southwest. A two-way hoist lifts and loads the excavated mineral (nickel sulphide) into a primary buffer silo. From here, a conveyor belt transports the mineral to a secondary silo, from which a conveyor belt transports it to a swivelling hopper and then loads it into the railcar.

The H0 layout was created completely from scratch on the basis of the builders’ own designs.
